Working my way through those CDs I picked up in London…
Wasn’t really sure what to expect from this album, having not heard any of Jim O’Rourke’s solo stuff before… It was only £2 and his name gets around a bit (he was in Sonic Youth at one point) so I thought I’d give it a go.
It’s really fucking good. I love the feeling when you pick up an album knowing pretty much nothing about it and listen to it and it turns out to be really good. It’s one of those little things which I love about going to music shops… Far more rewarding feeling than downloading stuff.
